wonder-woman

At one point, it was predicted that ‘Wonder Woman’ might flop.  Other studios have tried to build films around female action heroes– Elektra, Catwoman– and it didn’t go so well.  But that was forever ago and neither of those were WONDER WOMAN.  This is a new age and superheroes reign supreme at the box office.  And if you’ve seen ‘Batman V Superman’, you know the one saving grace was the presence of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince.  Now she’s about to twirl into her own movie and the early reviews are glowing, indicating that ‘Wonder Woman’ is a vast departure from the gloom and Doomsday of the previous DC Comics movies that Warner Brothers has cranked out.

‘Wonder Woman” has been deemed as optimistic and fun. Something the prior DC movies have been lacking.

The most recent surveys indicate that ‘Wonder Woman’ is the most anticipated movie of the summer!  So I’m not alone in dying to see this movie, directed by Patty Jenkins in its full glory.

After ‘Man of Steel’ just did okay, ‘Batman V Superman’ made a ton of money (and cost a ton of money to make) but no one liked it and ‘Suicide Squad’ was a mixed bag, Warner Brothers seems desperate for a solid DC hit.  So they are going all out on ‘Wonder Woman’. And that includes offering many clips from the film to entice viewers.

If you can’t wait, we have some clips from it available.  Just a warning, I didn’t watch them all.  I’m like a ‘Star Wars’ fan and don’t want to be completely spoiled by these clips.

But here is footage of ‘Wonder Woman’.  Proceed with caution!

What I did watch was impressive!  I’m just dying to see the whole movie in its entirety, in sequence.

‘Wonder Woman” could potentially be the biggest opening for a female director in history.  (Let’s make that happen!)

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

‘Wonder Woman’ was directed by Patty Jenkins and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Ewen Bremner, David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, Danny Huston, Florence Kasumba, Doutzen Kroes, Eleanor Matsuura, Saïd Taghmaoui, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Samantha Jo and Eugene Brave Rock. The script was written by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, based on a story by Heinberg and Zack Snyder. It will be released on June 2, 2017.
