If it is one video game franchise I don’t think I will ever get bored of it is the LEGO games and now the company has once again teamed up with Marvel Entertainment and Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment to give us ‘LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2’! The first trailer shows a return of a slew of iconic Marvel heroes and villains prepared to battle against one another throughout “different eras and realities.” In the game, our heroes are transported into a cosmic battle which is being waged from the hub of Chronopolis where they must journey throughout classic settings, fights, and more to save all of their reality!

Like all LEGO games, this one will be available just about everywhere on PlayStation®4, Xbox One®, and PC releases in November and a later availability for the Nintendo Switch.

The foundation of this fight will be going up against Kang who is the perfect villain to fight when it comes to time travel. Gaming modes go from single to a four-player experience allowing for fun for all your friends and family to get in on.

You can check out the first teaser right here:

While I love that we get Baby Lego Groot right off the bat in this 15-second spot, I kind of hate that we need to wait for May 23rd, 2017 for the full trailer.

According to Managing Director, TT Games Tom Stone:

“With a completely original branching storyline, LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes 2 introduces amazing new gameplay features, including the ability for characters to manipulate time and a four-player competitive Super Hero battling mode. With a huge array of brand new characters from the Marvel Universe, including old favorites in new guises, this game is sure to thrill both LEGO and Marvel fans, as well as newcomers to the series.”

Sean McEvoy, VP Digital Games, The LEGO Group added that:

“The LEGO Group is delighted to continue the stories of the legendary Marvel characters in a new LEGO adventure. Fans young and old will love playing through this all-new cosmic saga spanning the Marvel Universe as seen through the LEGO lens.”

With Jay Ong, SVP, Games & Innovation, Marvel Entertainment finally stating that:

“As we look to bring amazing games to Marvel fans of all ages, we’ve teamed up yet again with our incredible partners at LEGO, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and TT Games. LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes 2 brings characters from across Marvel’s history into an original story told in a way that only LEGO games can, offering hours of epic gameplay.”

As I mentioned above, I always enjoy LEGO games, but this one sounds like it will be one of the best to date. A solid reason for time travel and multiple characters, up to a four-player experience, and the latest art you can get for a LEGO game. Make mine Marvel!
