We haven’t heard much about the ‘Tremors‘ television series but thankfully Kevin Bacon has chimed in to let us know that it is still in the works! The announcement comes a year to the day after Bacon originally broke the news on Twitter during an Ask me Anything. Now, on a Reddit AMA he confirmed that it is still moving forward.

That being said, he didn’t really give any further details as of the show when asked about it all he said was that “we are working on that!”

As far as we know he is still on board as both an Executive Producer and actor and this seems to confirm that. News as to when it will be filmed, who else will be involved, and how the Graboids here might differ from those in the upcoming ‘Tremors 6’ film or the rest of the franchise are still a mystery.

The one sad note here is that it was last reported to be a reboot and not a continuation that could cross over with the films which have been steadily released since the 1990 cult classic first brought Graboids to the big screen. In the original movie, he played Valentine McKee who ended up saving an isolated down where these aliens were preying on human and livestock. While we could see him in the same role I suspect that he’ll have an entirely new part here as this isn’t going to be a follow-up to the original film unless plans have changed.

Are you looking forward to a ‘Tremors’ themed television show? Who else would you like to see as part of the cast as it is unlikely that Michael “Burt Gummer” Gross will be joining as he is still involved in the ongoing film franchise? Share your thoughts below!
