Here at Science Fiction, we believe in Shadow Moon and for fellow fans of Neil Gaiman‘s ‘American Gods,’ we also have a new behind-the-scenes featurette from the premiere episode and a sneak peak at the second to share with you today! The first episode did a great job at the initial introduction to Gaiman’s world and not only will the second episode “The Secret of Spoon” introduce us to Orlando Jones as Mr. Nancy in this clip that might not be too safe for work so be careful who is around when you’re watching it.
There is quite a bit on slavery and more brought up here which will set quite a potential tone for social commentary with his character as you can see here:
While the above video shows a focus on Mr. Nancy, the synopsis for the upcoming episode has us looking at other characters as:
Mr. Wednesday beings recruitment for the coming battle; Shadow Moon travels to Chicago with Mr. Wednesday and agrees to a high-stakes game of checkers with the old Slavic deity Czernobog.

If you have seen the first episode, there is an awesome behind-the-scenes featurette that really digs into the making of it. My one warning though is that this is full of spoilers so if you haven’t seen the show yet and wanted to check it out, I’d wait on viewing this. Also, probably another one not to be seen at work but if you’ve seen the show you already know that:
I’m hoping that we get some of these behind-the-scenes clips from each episode as I’m sure they’ll all have noteworthy scenes such as this one.
