David Lynch, creative mind behind the groundbreaking ‘Twin Peaks’ TV series that debuted on ABC 25 years ago, ran for two seasons, and is now coming back to TV after a 20-plus-year hiatus, is notoriously stingy about giving out any advance information about his creative efforts.  It should come as no surprise, then, that the new season will be coming back to TV later this month, yet we have yet to see a single shred of actual footage from the show – until now.

Granted, there is not much more than a few short shots of the town of Twin Peaks in this video – but heck, anything is better than the infuriatingly-vague four graphics-only “teaser” videos we were given last month.  Check it out:

We don’t have long to wait to see the first episode of the new season, as the two-hour premiere will bow on Showtime later this month.  After that, however, the series won’t return until August 6th, although Showtime promises subscribers that the next two episodes will actually be available for viewing via their online and streaming resources.

The third season of ‘Twin Peaks’ will debut on Showtime on May 21, 2017.
