GameOfThronesS7

Yesterday, HBO unveiled a teaser poster touting the return of phenomenon ‘Game of Thrones’ which is due to be comprised of as few as seven episodes and will lead into next year’s eighth and final season.  160,000 fans tuned in to literally watch ice melt on a Facebook Live stream, which unfortunately crashed twice.

Finally– FINALLY– fans learned that ‘Game of Thrones’ would return for Season 7 on…

In addition, a new teaser video was unveiled, featuring sculptures of great beasts which represent the various houses– dragon for Targaryen, stag for Barantheon, lion for Lannister, direwolf for Starks, kraken for Greyjoy, bear for Bolton and rose for Tyrell– with dialogue snippets from the various members of these houses.

These sculptures crumble and are covered in snow as the voice of Jon Snow teases the coming of the Great War.

You can watch the clip below:

Cersei was left sitting on the Iron Throne at the end of Season Six, but surely that isn’t the end of that conflict as Jon Snow now commands the North and Daenerys is en route to Westeros with, among others, Tyrion on her side.

Just because there aren’t as many hours of ‘GoT’ coming this year doesn’t mean that there won’t be plenty of action.  Are you excited  to return to Westeros and Essos?
