This summer’s ‘Batman: The Killing Joke‘ has proved to be quite the landmark for DC’s line of animated features. Not only did it mark the long awaited adaptation of a fan favorite storyline, but it was also the first such film to earn an R-rating from the MPAA. While it was perhaps inevitable that DC would produce more R-rated animated features, some might be surprised that the next such movie will be ‘Justice League Dark‘, the studio’s immediate follow up to ‘The Killing Joke’.

Of course, beyond its rating, ‘Justice League Dark’ is also significant for offering Matt Ryan another chance to reprise his role as John Constantine. Ryan originally donned the sorcerer’s trenchcoat for the short-lived NBC series and later returned to the role during the fourth season of ‘Arrow’. Based on the comics by Peter Milligan, the animated feature will see the Justice League team with Constantine and other supernaturally inclined heroes to combat a mystical threat.

A recent installment of ‘DC All Access’ included not only interviews with the voice cast, but also an all-new clip from the upcoming movie. The clip, appropriately, is a showcase for Ryan’s Constantine and catches the magician in the midst of a poker game with several demons. Following the clip are interviews with Matt Ryan and Jason O’Mara, dealing with the roles of Constantine and Batman on the film.

The full episode of ‘DC All Access’ is included below. Their ‘Justice League Dark’ coverage begins at the 2:20 mark.
