“Showtime A-holes!”
Yes, the Guardians are back and badass as ever…. Well, they’re back! Keeping us on our toes, Marvel has released the first full length trailer for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2‘ and it is as glorious as you would imagine.
Much like the first ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ trailer in 2014, ‘Vol 2’ has a catchy tune to go with the footage which comes straight from Star Lord’s mix tape. This time around it’s the 1974 hit “Fox on the Run’ by Sweet – which is perfect as the trailer for ‘Vol 2’ is just that… SWEET!
The entire gang of unlikely space heroes returns which include Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel), and Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) as well as a return appearance of space pirate Yondu (Michael Rooker) and Gamora’s villainous sister, Nebula (Karen Gillan). Also expect to see Pom Klementieff as Mantis and Kurt Russell who will be playing Ego the Living Planet.
Picking up 2 months from where the first ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ left off, the sequel’s plot is still shrouded in mystery so don’t expect the trailer to divulge any storylines, but then again who really cares when you have an adorable Baby Groot running away with an atomic bomb.
