Imax theaters have a new stand for ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘ which not only is sharing details on the film but includes hidden messages! This standee has a lot of text written in the Aurebesh language which people are rapidly translating. The standees themselves are part of a contest which would let you win a special private screening of the film, though the secretive text is just a bonus for fans and not part of the contest itself.

To enter the contest you just need to take a picture in front of one of these stands and tweet it out with the #RogueIMAXsweeps hashtag. Winners will get a trip for two to LA for a special ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ screening at IMAX’s headquarters. Not only is that a treat in itself but it is also the theater where Gareth Edwards and his team worked on the IMAX version of the film. It will run from November 3rd to November 27th so there is plenty of time to get an entree in.

Oh, and you can enter once per day.

At the minute and 41-second mark of this week’s ‘The Star Wars Show,’ you can see Gareth Edwards helping assemble one of these standees and get a feel for exactly how large they actually are!

For the secret messages themselves a Twitter user, YakFace Killa, has been hard at work translating them and here is what has been revealed so far:

  • The K-2SO (Alan Tudyk) panel, the message reads K-2SO: “Beat Back the Rebels”
  • The Chirrut Imwe (Donnie Yen) hidden message reads “Join the Empire.”
  • On Jyn Erso’s (Felicity Jones) stand the message deciphered is “Submit to our will”
  • Cassian Andor’s (Diego Luna) reads “All power to the Empire”
  • Bodhi Rook’s (Riz Ahmed) section reads “There will be no one to stop us this time”
  • Finally, Baze Malbus (Wen Jiang) actually has two messages, “Crush the Rebellion in one swift stroke,” and “This station is the ultimate power in the universe.”

Sounds like the stand is rather Pro-Empire where you think in a world where the Empire was in charge it would be the Rebel Alliance who was using secret messages.
