WONDER WOMAN

A new international trailer has arrived for ‘Wonder Woman’.  Unfortunately, it’s in Russian and it’s shorter than the version released at SDCC, but even so, it includes a little bit of new footage, mostly extended cuts of the two featured action sequences, of Diana (Gal Gadot) on the battlefield of World War I England and the more close-quarters slugfest against some enemy soldiers.

Provided the trailer honestly captures the feel of the movie, directed by Patty Jenkins with cinematographer Matthew Jensen, this could truly be Warner Brothers’ savior for their DC superhero movies which have so far met with– mixed reception, to put it mildly.  But considering that nearly across the board, Gadot’s turn as Wonder Woman was the highlight of ‘Batman V Superman’, expectations are high for her solo outing.

Can ‘Wonder Woman’ save the day?  It looks like she has a great shot!  Check out the new international trailer below:

Next year is a huge year for Wonder Woman.  It’s the character’s 75th anniversary and in honor of that, the United Nations has declared October 21st ‘Wonder Woman Day’ and has appointed the character as an ambassador for gender equality, a role she basically plays within the pages of the comics.  The United States Postal Service is immortalizing her on a set of forever stamps.  And of course, there’s her solo movie PLUS ‘Justice League’.  Surely, there will be even more celebrations to come.

What are you most looking forward to?
