Jason David Frank may be kicking butt as Bloodshot in Valiant Entertainment’s new web series ‘Ninjak Vs. The Valiant Universe’ and he has also made quite a name for himself in the world of mixed martial arts, but of course he is best known for playing Tommy Oliver, the original Green Ranger, the White Ranger, the Red Zeo Ranger, the Red Turbo Ranger and the Black Dino Ranger and it appears his Ranger days aren’t quite behind him just yet.  Frank has reprised his role on the web series ‘Super Power Beatdown’, directed by Aaron Schoenke, who not coincidentally also directed Frank in ‘Ninjak Vs. The Valiant Universe’.

And it seems that Schoenke and Frank may be continuing their working relationship.  As Frank said:

“I worked with Aaron quite a few times on Bat in the Sun.  Working with Aaron, I thought it was one of those things where he came and was like, ‘Hey, I’d love to work with you on the White Ranger versus Scorpion.’ I didn’t even get a chance to see his work. I just thought he was a really nice guy. I thought it was like just good timing and I like helping people. I was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll do it.’

“He came to the house and we talked about the Green Ranger series with Saban, which is not dead yet. That’s still very possible with that. We started talking about that and then he just wanted to do the Super Power Beat Down. I said, ‘Sure, man.’ Then, I agreed, because I’m a man of my word, and then I looked at his work. I was like, ‘Thank God. It’s really good.’ If he wasn’t really good, I would still help because I committed to it. We all start at amateur some day. These guys are growing up now and they’re in a position to say, ‘Hey, I like Jason. I like working with him. I like to see if he would play Bloodshot.’”

“I got a lot of big things coming out next year.  We’re talking with Saban about the Green Ranger series. I’m really more passionate about Bloodshot just because I probably put more time into it because it wasn’t a Japanese footage show, Power Rangers was, so it was kind of hard to put it together. I read a lot. There’s a lot I would do.”

It doesn’t appear that a Green Ranger appears in the upcoming ‘Saban’s Power Rangers’ reboot, but most likely this popular character will be saved for a sequel.

Would you like to see Frank back as the Green Ranger?  Or are you, like he, more interested in his new venture as Bloodshot?
