‘Justice League‘ clearly has the big guns in DC teaming up to take on a slew of supervillains and today we’ve just gotten our first look at Amber Heard who will be playing Mera in the film. She recently joined Gal Gadot in Iceland for filming with Jason Momoa and the studio has decided that they would be the first ones to release a photo of the Queen of Atlantis, likely before someone snagged a shot and just posted it online. Not only do we see Heard as Mera but she is in full costume in quite the spectacular looking promo shot!
For those unfamiliar with Mera, she tends to start off as an enemy of Aquaman before the two fall madly in love with one another. With the focus of the film being on the ‘Justice League, quite the perfect’ it would appear that the plotline will either be overlooked or clearly not the main focus of the film with just seeds being laid for the eventual stand alone movie.

As a bonus, they’ve also released a cool piece of concept art for the character as to what she might be looking like in action when she debuts on the big screen:

Looking quite a perfect counterpart to Momoa’s take on ‘Aquaman’. I suspect the two are going to look quite evenly matched when sharing the screen.

Synopsis:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, ‘Justice League’ is set to be the flagship entry in DC’s burgeoning cinematic universe. The film features returning stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot alongside a wave of newcomers, including Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher and J.K. Simmons. ‘Justice League’ will land in theaters on November 17, 2017.
