With the seventh season of ‘The Walking Dead‘ being right around the corner we’ve just learned the name and synopsis of the premiere episode. Oh, and also Jeffrey Dean Morgan has confirmed a major rumor that I’ve been touting since the finale that has made us all wonder who is going to make friends with Lucille. Interestingly enough the title for the upcoming season is a direct quote from the very first season of ‘The Walking Dead’.

When Noah Emmerich’s Dr. Edwin Jenner was last on screen with Rick he said “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be” and that is the exact title for the upcoming season premiere. The synopsis? Short, sweet, and to the point. We’re all expecting some death coming up and it looks like we’ll be getting it as:

“Last season ended with Rick and our group kneeling helplessly before Negan and his group. What Negan does will haunt those who survive forever.”

But who is going to die? We don’t know that yet but we’ve learned one slightly spoilerific rumor is quite true. If you are fully invested on the upcoming episode being a surprise in every aspect you’ll want to turn back now.

So what could Jeffrey Dean Morgan have confirmed that I’ve been saying for months? Straight from the actor’s mouth we get:

“Negan’s not just going to kill one person in [the premiere]. He’s not afraid of bashing in skulls.

As soon as the cameras are rolling and I get Lucille in my hand, it kind of just transforms me. This character, in particular, has been such a joy to play for me. Put the dark stuff aside and the horrible things that Negan does… As an actor, it’s just been so much fun. We’re kind of midway through filming season seven, so I feel like I’m pretty locked in.”

We still don’t know who is going to die. Abraham and Maggie were both on the side of Rick’s face that we’ve seen blood on in the previews so it could very well be either of these two. In the comics, we know that Glenn is the one that ended up dead and he could very well die again. I feel the only way that Maggie wouldn’t be outspoken in the face of his death before her, would be if she was completely unable to move from say complications with her pregnancy.

Oh, wait.

My money is on Abraham and Glenn but we’ll be finding out soon enough.

Which characters do you think are about to die on ‘The Walking Dead’? Are you happy to hear we’ve gotten confirmation that there will be more than one? Share your thoughts below!

‘The Walking Dead’ returns to AMC for a seventh season on October 23rd, 2016.
