jumanji-first-look

Shortly after Karen Gillan joined the cast last month, production on the upcoming ‘Jumanji‘ sequel from ‘Walk Hard’ and ‘Sex Tape’ director Jake Kasdan commenced in Hawaii. Since then, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been providing updates from the set featuring his co-stars. But over the weekend, The Great One’s social media accounts also acted as a news source for those interested in casting news for the movie.

Up until now, we’ve only see the adult cast of the follow up to the beloved Robin Williams film from 1995. However, Johnson recently took to his Instagram account to welcome the “#JumanjiJuniors” to the set and revealed that there will in fact be younger stars appearing in the movie as well. In his post, The Most Electrifying Man in Entertainment shared that Madison Iseman, Ser’Darius Blain, Alex Wolff, and Morgan Turner would all be joining in on the fun in the jungle. Deadline reports that Blain will play Anthony “Fridge” Johnson, but beyond that, there is no other information about their characters available at this time. These four also join ‘Flight of the Concords’ and ‘Hunt for the Wilderpeople’ star Rhys Darby, who joined the cast last week to play a character named Nigel.

But back on the set update front, The Rock took a break from playing Dr. Smolder Bravestone (Yes, that’s his character’s name.) to show off what he, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, and Kevin Hart were up to when it was raining in Hawaii while they were shooting. You can check out their antics in the post below:

How do you think the cast for the new ‘Jumanji’ is shaping up? Are you enjoying The Rock’s posts from the set? Let us know in the comments.
