mythbusters-build-teamIf you missed all of the crazy contraptions that were created on Discovery Channel’s ‘Mythbusters‘ than you’ll be happy to hear that the build team is coming back on Netflix to bring us ‘The White Rabbit Project’. This trio which includes Grant Imahara, Tory Belleci, and Kari Byron will have builders and scientists going “down the rabbit hole” and explore some strange things that have happened over the years. They’ll be tackling mysteries from both history and pop culture and cover topics that range from “World War II weaponry, superpower tech, heists, and jailbreaks.”

The plan is to have these creators run experiments that will explore the mysteries that each episode tackles and help determine fact from fiction on what actually happened or could have happened.

Since ‘Mythbusters’ came to a close we know that Travel Channel has been hosting Kari and Tory on ‘Thrill Factor’ which had an 11 episode run where they travelled around the country to try out the best rides and attractions that you could find while Imahara has been working on the ‘Star Trek Continues’ fan series as Mr. Sulu.

With ‘Mythbusters’ having finalized last March it seemed unlikely that this trio would once again come together and build some pretty fantastic things but it looks like fans everywhere are getting a spiritual successor to the show and one that doesn’t include Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman. Personally, I felt that once they were no longer on the show it lacked a bit of the magic that had created over the years.

Ideally, Netflix will have a smash hit on their hands which can not only reach out to the old ‘Mythbusters’ fans but also help springboard the upcoming ‘Bill Nye Saves the World‘ series as the network continues to increase its offerings of original content.

Are you looking forward to checking out ‘The White Rabbit Project’? Do you think that this trio of builders will keep you as interested as both Adam and Jamie did? Share your thoughts below!

‘The White Rabbit Project’ will be released on December 9th, 2016.
