Not everyone has Cinemax so in an effort to lure you in and get some buzz going 2 weeks before the official on network premiere, the network has released the first episode of ‘Outcast‘ online for free. If you’ve been wanting to watch Robert Kirkman‘s next comic book adaptation you have to look no further than this page as we’ve got the first episode, “A Darkness Surrounds Him,” embedded for you below!

The series follows Patrick Fugit as Kyle Barnes who is a man that has had to deal with possession all of his life. While he was at times able to sustain a normal life, these possessions have destroyed his relationship with his mother, wife, and daughter. When he returns to his childhood home everything he has dealt with his entire life comes back full force. His sister tries to welcome him back but his life soon gets worse as he finds out that the demons attacking Earth are more of a threat than he thought and he is squarely at the center of it.

With ‘Damien’ having just been cancelled and ‘The Exorcist‘ looking to be a flop in the making, ‘Outcast’ is the last bastion for those who enjoy demonic possessions on the small screen. Thankfully, unlike the other two, this one looks as if it might have the staying power to last.

Synopsis:
