MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT: This trailer pretty much reveals EVERYTHING about the new ‘Ghostbusters’ movie, so proceed with caution.

Things aren’t looking great for ‘Ghostbusters’.  It has the distinction of being the most disliked trailer on Youtube EVER.  Optimists, including film-maker Kevin Smith held out hope that the trailer was simply a poor representation of the film, directed by Paul Feig, who helmed hits like ‘Spy’ and ‘Bridesmaids’ and starring proven box office stars Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig with current SNL scene-stealers Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon.

Perhaps in reaction to the negative response to the earlier trailers, Columbia Pictures has released a new one, which may sway some naysayers.  This clip includes appearances by Slimer and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.  Could the appearances of the two most iconic ghouls in the original movie change people’s opinions?

Uh, but just as a warning this appears to be one of those trailers that gives away the entire movie, plot twists and all.

So proceed with caution.  You can watch it below:

This version of ‘Ghostbusters’ is, of course, a “remake” of the 1984 comedy great starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis and Annie Potts, a film that many hold sacred– which kind of spelled doom for any remake, no matter how it turned out, at least to purists.

Well, at any rate, as teased by LEGO months ago, it appears that the new Ghostbusters’ receptionist Kevin, played by Chris Hemsworth, becomes possessed and may cause more harm than good.

Does the inclusion of the classic ghosts, Slimer and Stay Puft make you more– or less inclined to check out this remake?

‘Ghostbusters’ won’t be afraid of ghosts on July 15th, 2016. It is directed by Paul Feig and stars Melissa McCarthy as Abby Yates, Kristen Wiig as Erin Gilbert, Kate McKinnon as Jillian Holtzman, Leslie Jones as Patty Tolan, with Charles Dance, Michael Kenneth Williams and Chris Hemsworth.
