With ‘Daredevil’ Season 2’s release only a few days away, the social media hype is growing, with today’s focus being the new vigilante in town, Frank Castle, as actor Jon Bernthal has posted photos and videos of himself in costume, showing off his impressive skills with a sniper rifle, and quoting an eerie line from the trailer, “One batch. Two batch. Penny and dime.’ The Punisher is sure to bring a whole new dynamic to the show, as he is basically a darker shade of the brand of heroism that Matt Murdock employs, with the Punisher not afraid to go all the way and kill evil-doers instead of hoping the justice system works. As Castle himself says in the trailer, Daredevil is only “…one bad day away from being me.’ According to showrunner Doug Petrie when speaking about the Frank Castle appearing in ‘Daredevil’ Season 2:
“Sympathy for the devil, in this case, is absolutely essential, but we can also guarantee that’s not the only thing you’ll be feeling. We’re very much looking forward to and are terrified by what we hope will come, which is a variety of responses to this guy. He’s more than one flavor, and he’s definitely more than one layer. We go deeper into what drives him, what his moral code is, what his contradictions are, what his methods are, and how people react to them, particularly Matt.”
