While Tinsel town (and the world for that matter) is getting geared up for tonight’s Oscars, awards season would not be the same without mentioning the Razzies. Last night was the time to celebrate the worse of the worst and it should be no surprise to genre fans that ‘Fantastic Four’ came out with the top award for Worst Picture of the Year.

As bad as ‘Fantastic Four’ was (it was nominated in four categories and “won” for Worst Picture, Worst Director and Worst Remake/Rip-off/Sequel), it didn’t beat ’50 Shades of Grey’ with their 5 dishonorable wins for Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, Worst Actress, Worst Actor, Worst Screen Combo.

Surprisingly, Eddie Redmayne who is up for tonight’s Oscar for Best Actor for his work in ‘The Danish Girl’ (and who won the Oscar for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in ‘The Theory of Everything’) received the Razzie for Worst Supporting Actor for ‘Jupiter Ascending’ which seems to show that Redmayne is much better as a leading man than a supporting one.

In an effort for the award to not seem so snarky, they have added the Razzie Redeemer Award given to an actor or actress who has received a Razzie in the past but has “gone on to do better work.” This year’s recipient went to Sylvester Stallone for his work on ‘Creed.’ Stallone beat out Elizabeth Banks, M. Night Shyamalan, and Will Smith.

For those not in the know, the Golden Raspberry Awards, also known as “the Razzies” was founded by John J.B. Wilson in 1980 as an antithesis to the Academy Awards and is traditionally given out the night before the Oscars. While not as much of a star-studded event as the later, the event has been known to bring out some celebrities to accept their award such as Sandra Bullock for her work in ‘All About Steve’ and Halle Berry in ‘Catwoman’.

Unfortunately, scheduling didn’t seem to permit any of the nominees to be able to attend last night’s festivities, but we do have the winners (highlighted in bold) for you below!
