Back in October, we learned that Fox was looking to expand their Marvel Universe to television with the FX series ‘Legion’. Though it won’t be connected to the blockbuster X-Men films, the show following Professor Xavier’s illegitimate schizophrenic son does feature some massively talented people. Behind the scenes, ‘Fargo’ creator Noah Hawley will be running the show. In front of the camera, the likes of Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Aubrey Plaza, Jean Smart, and newcomer Jeremie Harris will round out the cast. But now there’s another new addition being added to the mix that sounds like she could be a force to be reckoned with.
According to Deadline, Amber Midthunder is the latest to join the cast of ‘Legion’. The young actress that has appeared in ‘Banshee’, ‘Longmire’, and ‘Dig’ is set to play Kerry, “a woman of action with a childlike sense of wonder”. Described as a true savant, she has lived a “sheltered, but never dull” life. By the sounds of things, Midthunder’s character isn’t based on anyone that we might recognize from the comics. However, there’s always the chance that she could eventually be revealed to be someone familiar just like Skye ended up being Daisy Johnson on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’.
While there isn’t much information regarding Kerry, we do know a little bit more about the show. Before you let us know what you think about Amber Midthunder joining the cast of ‘Legion’, you can check out the synopsis below:
‘Legion’ introduces the story of David Haller, based on the Marvel comics character Legion, the son of X-Men founder Charles Xavier. Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. A haunted man, David is getting tired of finding his way back to sanity and is about to give up when he meets the girl of his dreams, a fellow patient, and is confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.
