For those of you wondering how the series will go from “Rise of the Villains” on ‘Gotham‘ to the ‘Wrath of the Villains,’ then you’ll be happy to hear that a motion comic is set to bridge the midseason break from the second season. Now that they’ve risen maybe this motion comic will give us some hints as to why they are so full of wrath, aside from being villains of course. This motion comic will be titled ‘Gotham Stories’ and is a five-part 1 minute series which will introduce what is to come.

The first episode which is embedded below has Robin Lord Taylor’s Penguin explaining why he is running his operation from a slaughterhouse. His henchmen aren’t happy with him or the situation and as it looks like they may turn against their boss we see Nathan Darrow’s Victor Fries show up.

Now you have to give it to Dr. Freeze, he clearly knows how to make an entrance. What you have to wonder though is if he and the Penguin will be on good terms with one another, rivals, or if their goals will barely overlap. With more questions being asked they also left it off with a bit of a cliffhanger that is quite perfectly done in making us want more.

Later installments will also include voicework by Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, and Camren Bicondova so it won’t be just the criminals that we’ll be checking in on. If motion comics aren’t your think it looks as if DC Comics is set to release a collected print edition when they’ve all been put online.
