The-Flash-Season-2-Premiere-Review

The police of Central City had better figure out a way to give out speeding tickets to superheroes, because their city is fairly teeming with individuals capable of breaking the sound barrier. Aside from its famous super-hero The Flash, the city is also currently home to Eobard Thawne aka The Reverse Flash, Zoom, Jay Garrick (The Flash of Earth-2), and Wally West, who I suppose is the only character who might actually get that speeding ticket since he is the only one driving in a car to attain his speed needs. And now we have learned that a new speedster is coming to Central City, this time a female, whose codename is Trajectory. She will be portrayed by Allison Paige, who has made a name for herself recently during a 7 year stint on ‘Days of Our Lives,’ and is no stranger to comic-book roles after her appearance on NBC’s ‘Heroes.’

Trajectory Allison Paige the Flash

For those like me who are not are well-versed in the annals of DC lore, Trajectory is a semi-tragic DC villain who suffers from a form of schizophrenia that often leads to outbursts of violent rage. Her powers are due to an experiment done on her by Lex Luthor, making her the only speedster so far not somehow connected to Barry Allen or Central City directly. Of course, fans are hoping that her backstory might remain the same so that we can get a hint of Lex Luthor in the CW DC Universe, as introducing that villain into the world would undoubtedly raise the stakes for all of our heroes, and may lead to the introduction one day of Superman. Of course, with all the ‘Batman V Superman‘ and DC cinematic world in production these days, I would not be holding my breath for any of those characters to be allowed to be used in ‘Flash,’ ‘Arrow’ or ‘Legends of Tomorrow,’ but a fan can dream.

What are your thoughts on the introduction of Trajectory  in ‘The Flash?’ Does the show need to start introducing and using other villains besides the speedsters to be the major threats? Or do you think the speedsters are the only ones that can truly challenge Barry? Share your opinions in the comments below!
