ABC’s ‘Agent Carter’ is about to warm up the winter by journeying to sunny Hollywood for Season Two. But are you ready for the show to cross over with another hit show? Because episode nine will feature an unofficial mash up with ABC’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’! How?
Well, it’s not an official crossover, but ‘DWTS’ alum Louis van Amstel has choreographed a song and dance number for the episode, which will reportedly start out in black and white before turning color, a la ‘The Wizard of Oz’. The routine will feature SEVEN contributors from ‘DWTS’ with Agent Carter (Hayley Atwell) and her old Season One gal pal Angie Martinelli (Lyndsy Fonseca, shown above) taking center stage.
A song and dance number? Isn’t this a SPY show? Well, yes. This routine will be a dream sequence that occurs after Agent Carter is knocked unconscious at the end of episode eight.
The number will be set to an original song by lyricist David Zippel and composer Christopher Lennertz with contributions by executive producers Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters.
Here is what Fazekas had to say about Fonseca/Angie’s return:
“She’s your conscience and she’s speaking the things that Peggy maybe can’t say to herself. It ties things back together from the first season and it’s connecting all of these things in a way that only a dream can do.”
It sounds like Agent Carter’s new glitzy surroundings are invading her subconscious.
‘Agent Carter’ returns for its second season on January 19, 2016 at 10pm (EST) on ABC. The show stars Hayley Atwell, James D’Arcy, Enver Gjokaj, Wynn Everett, Reggie Austin and Chad Michael Murray.
Are you intrigued to see a musical number on ‘Agent Carter’ even if it is just a dream?
