New Comic Books This Week – November 25th

Here is the list of new comic books, trade paperbacks and more shipping on 11/25/2015. As always, check with your retailer for availability, as not all releases may be on sale in all areas at the same time. Here is what’s on my pull-list this week.

To survive in ‘Fight Club 2’ #7, Sebastian must pretend to be Tyler. If he can bluff his way into Tyler’s hideout, he can rescue his son. But when he gets word that his wife is dead, he is bereft, and Tyler, ever the troublemaker, insists that Dr. Wrong is the real mastermind who plans to kill them all and seize control of the world. Eric Kripke (creator of Supernatural) teams up with Vertigo veterans John Higgins (HELLBLAZER) and Glenn Fabry (PREACHER) to bring you a very Vertigo take on the modern superhero in ‘Jacked’ #1, a six-issue miniseries. Josh Jaffe, a neurotic family man mid-midlife crisis, buys an online “smart pill” to increase his focus and jolt him out of his slump. But to Josh’s surprise, the pill gives him incredible strength and power-but its cost is that it’s extremely addictive. This irreverent and brutally realistic story examines both the mighty highs and humiliating lows of being a real-life superhero.

A new faction within the Foot colludes against Splinter and the Turtles as they struggle to deal with new threats to New York City. And where’s Michelangelo? Find out in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ #52.

RINGSIDE is an ongoing series set within the world of professional wrestling, written by JOE KEATINGE (SHUTTER, GLORY, TECH JACKET) and drawn by acclaimed illustrator NICK BARBER, combining the ensemble drama of THE WALKING DEAD with interconnected rotating perspectives akin to ‘The Wire.’ Each issue will explore the relationship between art and industry from the view of the wrestlers themselves, the creatives they work with, the suits in charge and the fans cheering them all on. But that’s just the beginning. The real violence is outside the ring, in ‘Ringside’ #1.

Vader Down continues in ‘Darth Vader’ #13, The first crossover of Star Wars’s new Marvel age continues, when it is Darth Vader vs. the Rebels… ALL the Rebels… it’s not a fair fight!

The biggest comic series of the year continues with ‘Archie’ #4! What was the “lipstick incident” that pushed Archie and Betty apart? And can the smartest boy in Riverdale fix it? The spotlight is on Dilton and Moose as, together, they show what friendship is really all about! Plus welcome Annie Wu (Black Canary, Hawkeye) to Riverdale, as she takes over art duties in this brand-new issue!
