Visually its been a busy week for the crazy as we’ve just gotten a large batch of new images from ‘Suicide Squad‘ to share with you! Not only that but one of the photos gives a key detail about Jared Leto‘s take on The Joker that a few of you I’m sure have wondered about. From covers to official stills we do have a ton of new art to show off so let’s begin!

First up we’ll go with the easy shots from Empire’s upcoming covers that feature the characters. Not much here in the way of new details but you can at least get a better look at Will Smith’s Deadshot and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.

Empire ha shown off a couple of the other characters on covers recently but these will be the last of them. At least for the foreseeable future. After that we have some stills and production photos from the film.

In the first image we have Davis as Amanda Waller taking direction from David Ayer on her character which she describes as “She’s relentless in her villainy. When you look at her, there’s nothing that seems dangerous. Her only power is her intelligence and her complete lack of guilt.”

Also included is one of the best images to date of Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje playing Waylon Jones or Killer Croc as he is more commonly known. He describes the character as “He’s a cannibal with rage issues. Although he only eats the most talented people. He’s picky.”

Following that is Croc joined by Quinn who people think of as “Harley is easily distracted, but up for following orders if it means destroying things.”

Also included is one of the best closeups of Cara Delevingne’s June Moone who she describes as “She’s an ancient sorceress. A feral being. She’s been trapped for so long and [now] she’s finally let out.”

The next 2 shots are the most interesting though as they hint at part of the movie being “about [Harley] breaking free of The Joker and becoming this fully actualised, independent person. That really is a metaphor for everyone’s journey here.” Not only that but it does show that her backstory will be part of the classic tale that she used to treat “Mr. J” before falling quite madly (literally and figuratively) in love with him. This will be part of the tale where she starts to move on even though she is still firmly in the persona that he helped craft.

The origin of Harley Quinn will be shown on screen and clearly is being shown in flashback form. I can’t wait to see these two evolve and really hope they can do them justice.

More images were released as well which you can check out below.
