There are plenty of amazing surprises coming to ‘Star Wars Rebels’ on Disney XD. For starters, James Earl Jones will return to lend his iconic voice to Darth Vader once again. Then last week, fans learned that ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ star Sarah Michelle Gellar would be joining the cast as well as the villainous Inquisitor known as the Seventh Sister. But if you’re anxious to see the new additions to the Dark Side on the show, you don’t have to wait until the second season debuts next week because the team brought some new footage to this year’s New York Comic Con.

The latest addition to the cast Gellar appeared at the show’s Empire Stage panel and was joined by executive producer Dave Filoni, Ezra Bridger himself Taylor Gray, and Ashley Eckstein, the voice behind fan favorite former apprentice named Ahsoka Tano. While they discussed various aspects of the show, they also brought a new trailer for the animated ‘Star Wars’ series that shows off a number of characters at the core of the upcoming season. You can check it out below, followed by the official synopsis for season two:

In “Star Wars Rebels” season two, past lives will be revealed and the destiny of our heroes will be changed forever. The transformative new season resumes with Imperial oppression on Lothal growing stronger and the rebels seeking out new allies and additional resources to sustain their fight against the evil Empire. With the help of Ahsoka Tano, the crew of the Ghost enlists some old friends: ex-clone troopers who fought in the Clone Wars. As the rebels grow in number, so do their enemies. New Inquisitors are dispatched by Darth Vader and sent to crush any threat of rebellion. Through dangerous rescue missions, thrilling space chases, and spectacular lightsaber duels – the bond of our rebel crew will be put to the test like never before.

And if you thought that the trailer was great, you’d be wrong. There was also some additional goodness for those present at the panel when they showed a clip of the Seventh Sister asserting her dominance over Ezra:

Finally, if you’re a fan of ‘Star Wars Rebels’ and you weren’t able to attend the NYCC panel this year, we’ll have some exclusive coverage of a press conference featuring the panelists as they discussed the show even more. Stay tuned for that very soon! But until then, let us know what you think about these videos in the comments.
