There has always been an air of mystery surrounding the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though we would get teases every now and then from filmmakers or stars, details for these projects remain largely under wraps. Naturally, ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ is no different. Like the organization itself, there are many secrets to be kept. Luckily, Clark Gregg is as good as Director Phil Coulson at keeping a mission classified. I mean, he won’t even tell the lovable Muppets what’s going on!

To promote their return to primetime network television, Kermit, Fozzie, Miss Piggy, and the whole gang have joined forces with fellow ABC stars to create new promos for ‘The Muppets’, which premieres on September 22nd. Among the talent lending a hand to the iconic Jim Henson creations is Nathan Fillion of ‘Castle’, ‘Fresh Off The Boat’ star Randall Park, Wendi McClendon-Covey of ‘The Goldbergs’, and more. In the latest ad to promote the upcoming show, it was Gregg’s turn to drop by. But instead of talking about his new show, it appeared that Pepe the Prawn only wanted to talk about ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’, which is beginning its third season on September 29th. Of course, Director Coulson couldn’t spill any beans and even had to call backup. You can check out what happened in the video below courtesy of Facebook:

After initially being weary of this new show, my tune certainly changed after the sneak peek from San Diego Comic-Con hit the web. Now that the network is going all in by getting their other stars involved with the promotion of the show, things just got that much better. And while I’m not exactly expecting Agent Animal to show up to take down Ward and HYDRA, it is pretty great to see things like this. Hopefully there are more in the future because I’m sure there could be a lot of great Marvel gags involving the Muppets.

‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ starring Brett Dalton, Ming-Na Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Adrianne Palicki, Chloe Bennet, and Clark Gregg returns to ABC on September 29, 2015 at 9:00pm.
