Back in 2013, former ‘Doctor Who’ star Karen Gillan shocked her fans when she revealed that she had shaved her head to play Nebula in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’ She also did it in the best way possible as she took off her wig made of her signature red locks in front of everyone present in Hall H that year. Bald or not, the actress proved to be a beautiful badass when the film premiered the following year. But now as director James Gunn prepares the script for the highly anticipated sequel ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’, it turns out that there’s a chance that the rebellious daughter of Thanos may be sporting a different hairstyle next time we see her.
While appearing at Fan Expo Canada 2015, Gillan shared all that she could about the upcoming Phase Three film featuring Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot. However, she didn’t have much to report since she still hasn’t seen the script yet, but the Scottish actress did mention that she might not have to shave her head again this time around. You can check out some highlights from her panel below , followed by her comments about Nebula being bald again:
“I can say that I have not read the script yet. I will be back. And I still don’t know if I’m going to be bald or not. There’s a possibility. I don’t know why or how, but there is.”
In the comics, Nebula has been depicted with hair on a few occasions. But it appears that look won’t transition over to the big screen if Gunn has anything to say about it though. Earlier this summer, he shot down a fan’s suggestion on Twitter that Nebula has hair with a single word: “No.” He didn’t go on to elaborate further, but that sounds like a pretty definitive answer to me.
@JamesGunn look, Please Nebula should have hair, no? #GuardiansOfTheGalaxy @Marvel pic.twitter.com/w1yEjLC9QJ

Do you think that Karen Gillan’s Nebula will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with her bald look intact? Or do you think that there’s a possibility that she may grow her hair out for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’? Sound off in the comments.
