In the most unlikely of crossovers, it looks as if Fox is going to bring together the third season of ‘Sleepy Hollow‘ and the 11th season of ‘Bones’ during the upcoming 2015-2016 lineup. Somehow the world of ‘Bones’ and ‘Sleepy Hollow’ actually co-exist and while it isn’t explained how or why, we do know that the shows will collide! It looks as if the plan is to happen after Fall, so I would imagine we’ll be seeing it later in the season at this point. The crossover will air with one episode during the regular ‘Bones’ time slot and another during ‘Sleepy Hollow’s.
With the release dates of these episodes being so far out, it’s hard to tell what we can expect. Will the the two sets of partners work together or are they at odds with one another? Will Abbie and Crane be meeting up with Booth and Brennan in either of their hometowns or somewhere else entirely? Will more of the cast and crew be involved? Will the case being worked on have a supernatural element? It is all far too soon to tell on any of these.
If anything, I would expect a case that Crane and Mills are working on that the other two get dragged into and are never fully made aware of what is going on. It would be hard for the cast from ‘Bones’ to see something akin to the Headless Horsemen and expect to go back to their ongoing procedural as if nothing had happened.
