‘Heroes’ fans, and former ‘Heroes’ fan who decided to opt out before the train-wreck of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th seasons concluded, have been debating for a while now whether or not NBC and series creator Tim Kring will be able to bring back the magic of the amazing 1st season of the original show when they premiere ‘Heroes Reborn‘ this fall. Unfortunately, none of the information released so far has given us any indication about what the revised version of the show is going to be like, with even the new key art (see left) showing little more than the main title, and once again showing a glimpse at a character who may or may not be able to control the aurora borealis.

As one source does point out however, at least the new key art is vibrant in color, which is markedly different from the original show which skewed a lot more toward black and white tones, which hopefully means Kring and company are actively seeking to change everything in the show from the ground up, aside from returning characters like Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman), Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg), The Haitian (Jimmy Jean-Louis), and Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka). Many fans have also commented that the show not bringing back the character of Sylar or the main members of the Petrelli family is hopeful, as their story really dragged down the back half of the show, plus they were all a bit overpowered, which made it difficult to believe they were actually in any real danger most of the time.

NBC will unveil more information about the show in July during Comic Con, where the new cast will sit on a panel hosted by Grunberg, where I’m sure they will reveal some footage from the pilot episode. Until then, you can watch the  trailer to see the new Heroes in action.

‘Heroes Reborn’ will be premiering in the fall on Thursday September 24th at 8pm for 13 episodes this season.
