A few weeks back we covered ‘Disney Infinity’s’ newest edition to their series, the characters and worlds from Disney’s recently bought franchise ‘Star Wars’. Disney has now released more information and even some images about the first part of this addition, ‘Star Wars: The Twilight of the Republic’, which will cover Episodes I-III of the movie series.
Set in the latter years of the Clone Wars (in other words, skipping ‘The Phantom Menace’ movie), the new worlds will include Tatooine and Coruscant, with battles taking place in Geonosis and Naboo.
The website claims that you can fight as and alongside Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Yoda in order “to save the Republic and defeat the Separatists”. You can even fight as Darth Maul, though he will be a doppelgänger Darth Maul who fights against the Sith alongside the Jedi.
Every character has their own unique, specialized Lightsaber and Force ability. Here is a brief rundown on what these specializations will be for a portion of the characters:
As Jedi Master Yoda, for example, players will leap into action with his agile and acrobatic prowess. Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano uses her lightning-fast dual Lightsabers to carve up Battledroids, while Darth Maul uses his double-bladed Lightsaber and power in the dark side of the Force in a death-defying duel against the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The second ‘Star Wars’ set, ‘Rise Against the Empire’ (based on Episodes IV-VI) should also be out sometime this fall, with a third set based on ‘The Force Awakens’ planned to be released with the movie’s premier in winter.

‘Star Wars: The Twilight of the Republic’ will be available when ‘Disney Infinity 3.0’ is released this fall on the PlayStation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, Wii U, and mobile devices.
