In the latest concept art that has been revealed for ‘X-Men: Apocalypse,’ we are treated to an interesting shot of Cyclops, Jean, and Storm, though what stands out the most is the costumes being worn. We’ve already seen concept art of Angel and early shots of Jubilee as well as some not so great set shots of Scott and Jean, but this concept art seems to confirm more of what style of uniform they’ll be suited up in.

Let’s take a quick look of what Empire Magazine ended up revealing shall we?

Older readers might not be able to easily pick up that uniform but this should stand out for fans who are up to date on the series. More specifically those who are up to date with the ‘All-New X-Men,’ about a time travelling set of mutants who were taken to the present from the past and given new costumes as you can see below.

Now mix in the concept art above with this earlier shot…

…and I think we might just be onto the general idea of what to expect for the uniforms.

Now before we get too distracted by the costumes, let us take a moment to realize that this is a short of Cyclops and Jean looking to be fighting Storm in quite an epic battle. Is this a Danger Room session? Has Storm become one of Apocalpse’s Horsemen? Or is this their first meeting? It’s hard to say as this is just a concept piece.

What we do know is that Simon Kinberg previously said “Scott is not yet the squeaky-clean leader. Storm is
a troubled character who is going down the wrong path in life. And Jean is complex, interesting and not fully mature. It’s fun to see someone struggling with their powers when you know one day they’ll become the most powerful person in the world.”

Could they have been out to recruit Storm and things didn’t end up being that amicable?

I honestly can’t wait to see what Bryan Singer has in store for us with his final ‘X-Men’ film.

What are your thoughts on the uniforms potentially following those introduced to us in ‘All-New X-Men’? Which uniform style do you think would work best for our young mutants? Share your thoughts below True Believers!
