It’s encouraging to see the excitement from the cast and crew of 20th Century Fox’s ‘Deadpool‘ movie, constantly updating us with pictures from the set, the location shots, and statements about how much they are loving working on the film. In the latest released photo, Reynold’s uploaded a picture to Instagram of himself jumping through a hail of bullets, which of course would not really slow down Deadpool even if they hit him, due to his healing factor.

According to sources, the film does not have the kind of budget than say, the new ‘Fantastic Four‘ or one of the ‘X-Men‘ movies may have, but that might actually work in ‘Deadpool’ ‘s favor, as the filmmakers are being forced to be more creative with their action shots (such as the one below), and rely more on practical effects than trying to do everything in post using the “magic” of CGI. If there’s a problem with superhero movies nowadays (and I’m not saying there is, I love ’em), it would be the reliance of doing everything in CGI, instead of the Nolan approach of doing as much as possible practically, and then sneaking in CGI effects to enhance what’s already there (as he did masterfully in ‘The Dark Knight’).

Anyways, check out the action shot below courtesy of Reynold’s Instagram, and join me in anticipating the release of ‘Deadpool’ on February12, 2016.

Stuck the landing. With my mouth.

And here’s the official synopsis in case you missed it earlier:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
