While we won’t have trailers for Duncan Jones’ ‘Warcraft’ for a while (as the film isn’t due until March 11th, 2016), we do know what he’d like to see in them. Not only that, but the director has shared a few other small details which will be of interest to anyone waiting for more information on the film.

With the plot taking place between factions of the Alliance and the Horde where we see each side having its own heroes, it might be hard to properly sell that in a single trailer. The reason being is that while this is a human vs orcs battle, the orcs aren’t necessarily bad. So why not two trailers? One for each side!

The world of ‘Warcraft’ has always has these two opposing factions at war with one another. While the initial introduction gave us a pro-human and anti-orc view, it has evolved over the years so that each side is justified in their actions. At least in their own view. When talking about the look of the film Jones is a little vague. But, this may give you an idea of what to expect for some of the more epic scenes that they will surely be including.

I mean let’s be honest just throwing ‘Avatar’ in at the high end makes the amount of CGI from standard to over the top. So that covers the art but how about the music in ‘Warcraft’? Jones addresses that as well!

With a film that has to have an epic feel to it, the music will be key and I can’t wait to hear what kind of a soundtrack they put together. Onto his earlier comments on the trailer though, I’m pretty sure we’ll only be seeing one come out initially. While I’d love to see two for each side I’m not sure how that would fall into the type of audience he is looking to get interested in the film. Most likely fans of the ‘Warcraft’ games will already be interested so his problem is getting the rest of the world dying to see this hit the big screen.

While the concern may be there, I don’t think it is nearly as valid a point as it once was. With genre films being at an all-time high for popularity and Peter Jackson proving that there is a strong base of fantasy fans out there I think opposing trailers might be just the right kind of bait to hook potential viewers.
