Back when Marvel Studios announced their epic Phase Three schedule at the El Capitan Theatre, among the surprises were a few unexpected films like ‘Captain Marvel’, ‘Inhumans’, and ‘Captain America: Civil War’. But a few long-rumored projects were revealed as well including Scott Derrickson’s ‘Doctor Strange’ and ‘Black Panther’. The event even saw the introduction of Chadwick Boseman, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s T’Challa, as well as the first look at the Wakandan hero courtesy of some concept art. Now, a few more pieces of artwork have emerged to give us a closer look Boseman’s costume.

Before being taken down from Instagram, Superhero Feed managed to snag a few pieces of ‘Black Panther’ concept art created by illustrator Mike Thompson. Because of his work for EA, Nike, Coke, and even Marvel, they appear to be legitimate. Plus, these new shots are definitely similar to the image that we saw back in October 2014, except that they offer a better view of the details found on T’Challa’s mask, necklace, and claws. You can check out both pictures below:

Previously, we learned that Boseman would first appear as Black Panther alongside Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ as the governments of the world search for superhero regulation. However, there has been no official word as to whether he’ll actually appear in costume prior to his solo adventure lined up to hit theaters on November 3, 2017. Chances are that we’ll find out when the film goes into production in the near future, so stay tuned right here at ScienceFiction.com for the latest details.
