With ‘Avengers’ and ‘New Avengers both coming to a close this April as they lead into the ‘Secret Wars,’ we won’t be seeing the last of our heroes as Marvel has just announced that we can expect ‘The All-New, All-Different Avengers.’ While the next set of heroes expected to show up on this have not yet been announced, with the last team being formed by a combination of Avengers and X-Men, I would expect to see this one with the same idea but just adding some Inhumans into the mix.

The series that are ending the “When Time Runs Out” event are The Avengers who are currently made up of Abyss, Black Widow, Cannonball, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Captain Universe, Ex Nihilo, Hawkeye, Hyperion, Manifold, Nightmask, Shang-Chi, Smasher, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Star Brand, Sunspot, Thor and the New Avengers which are actually following The Illuminati which consist of Beast, Black Bolt, Black Panther, Captain Britain, Amadeus Cho, Doc Green, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Mister Fantastic, and Yellowjacket. Some of the current Avengers roster such as Spider-Man haven’t been too active and Captain Marvel who is in the present off planet with the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ but is back in the current story line.

I have a feeling that none of the above will be showing up here if they are all involved in the major crossover conflict.

You can see the spread of covers for ‘Avengers’ #44 and ‘New Avengers’ #33, the final two issues of the above titles, right here!

The entire thing is a bit of a mess right now and even though Jonathan Hickman has started to weave things together beautifully in ‘Avengers’ #40, I’m sure by the time ‘Secret Wars’ hits this will all be much more sorted out. A relaunch of the titles might be exactly what Marvel may need to straighten out who exactly is active and why. I’m curious as to who is going to be left either alive or not stuck in the ‘Secret Wars’ to even make this happen, or if the new title will be part of the event.

We already know that the new relaunch of the ‘Uncanny Avengers‘ will have their time consisting of the new Captain America, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Doctor Voodoo, Sabertooth, and Rogue so they won’t be here.

If I were to hazard a guess of Avenger/Mutant/Inhuman combinations, a few names that spring to mind who we don’t know for sure will be tied up by the ‘Secret Wars’ (if that is even a factor) could be Ms. Marvel, X-23, one of the Fantastic Four who are breaking up which would likely be Thing or Johnny Storm, She-Hulk, Ant-Man, or any of the ‘All-New X-Factor’ as that book is ending this week as well.

Are you looking forward to a new take on ‘The Avengers’ or are you getting as sick and tired as I am of Marvel having to relaunch their titles for every major event which happens at least once a year? Share your thoughts below True Believers!
