Import The Power Of The Dark Side

In recent years, it seems like import figures from Japan have been growing more and more popular in US markets. This has lead to the people who make these import figures snatching up just about any license they can get their hands on to make all new super articulated versions of all of our favorite characters. In recent years we’ve seen super articulated versions of Batman, Indiana Jones, and even Michael Jackson! But now, one import figure maker is taking us to a galaxy far far away with the all new Darth Vader Revoltech figure from Kaiyodo!

This all new figure brings us an all new take on everyone’s favorite Dark Lord of the Sith from ‘Star Wars’ as we’ve never seen him before! This figure is super poseable and sports a whopping twenty-three points of articulation! This is also the very first ever Darth Vader figure to sport an articulated cape! Vader also inclues several sets f additional alternative hands for you to choose from so you can display him however you’d like!

The full release from Hobbylink Japan, where the figure is available for pre-order, is below-

This item is a posable action figure from the Revoltech series.

The Dark Lord of the Sith now plans to conquer the Revoltech universe!  Kaiyodo’s new Star Wars Revo lineup starts with the iconic Darth Vader, standing 17cm tall and fully posable with 23 points of articulation–even his cape is jointed for action!  He has multiple hands for a variety of poses, his legendary red lightsaber, a lightsaber hilt to attach to his waist, and a stand.  You will not want to miss out on this history-making figure!

The Beginning Of The End For Masters Of The Universe Classics

This year marks the end of the Masters of the Universe Classics line, as the final year of the subscription service through MattyCollector begins! To get the new year started off right, the team over at MattyCollector.com has announced Lizard Man as the first figure in the final wave of Masters of the Universe Classics ‘Club Eternia’ subscription service, which is hitting later this week! Lizard Man will be available during early access for subscription holders on January 14th, and available to everyone else the following day!

As an added bonus, MattyCollector.com is also making the previously released Extendar available again for those who might have missed him the first time he was released. He’ll be available on a “first come, first served” basis; meaning that he might very well sell out again during the subscription holders’ early access period on the 14th.

 Totes MaGoats!

Hasbro has recently revealed an all new special ‘Year of The Goat’ Platinum Edition Optimus Prime figure! This guy will be hitting specialty retailers later this year in the spring, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled! The full release from the Official Transformers Facebook Page is below-

Check out the gallery — the figure is coming this spring to specialty retailers.

 My Collector Sense is Tingling

It’s a little weird how things come out sometimes, but it’s been brought to our attention that the crew over at RobotKingdom.com has listed the new wave of Spider-man themed Marvel Legends figures from Hasbro up on their website and in doing so, revealed both the wave lineup, release date, and case ratio! The figures are set to be shipping out at the end of January, with each case containing the following figures-(x2) Spidergirl, (x2) Spiderwoman, (x1) Anti-Venom, (x1) Spider-man 2099, (x1) Daredevil, and (x1) Classic Spider-Man. Each figure contains a build-a-figure piece to collect and build your very own Hobgoblin figure!

A Little Hero Gets a Big New Figure

Earlier this week, Mtv News revealed our very first look at the all new Marvel Select Antman figure from Diamond Select Toys! This figure is based on the characters appearance in his upcoming self-titled live action film starring Paul Rudd as our titular hero which hits theaters this summer! Besides giving us our first glimpse at the figure itself, they also revealed that the 7″ scale figure will feature sixteen points of articulation and comes packed with an alternate set of hands, as well as a smaller ‘shrunken down’ version of Antman! This  standard sized figure of this little hero is sure to be a big hit when it releases later this summer!

‘Age of Ultron’ is Heating Up

This week Hot Toys posted a few teaser images for their upcoming ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ line, including a closer look at the film’s titular villain!

Besides the teaser image of Ultron himself, we also got a look at a series of display stands, which appears to divulge Hot Toys plans for their ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ line. It looks like they plan to release, at the very least, Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, Thor, The Hulk, Black Widow, The Vision, Ultron, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch before they’re done with this series! We also already know they have plans to release the Hulkbuster Iron Man armor, so who is to really say at this early stage what other characters we might see from the film as upcoming Hot Toys releases!

 Angels and Aliens

While it’s a bit different from the majority of their releases, Hot Toys has leaked an early look at their next figure in their ‘Hot Angels’ line. This line hasn’t seen a figure since the initial release of Machiko ‘The She Predator’ way back in 2008, so it’s an interesting choice to see them decide to revive this brand. This new figure looks to be complimentary to the earlier Machiko figure, as she’s based on the designs of the Alien Xenomorphs from ‘Alien Vs. Predator’! Take a look at the figure below!

 NECA Hunts in 8-Bit City

While we mentioned a teaser for this figure a few weeks back, NECA has finally premiered the first images of their upcoming 8-Bit style ‘City Hunter’ Predator! Check out the full release from NECA below-

NECA’s highly successful line of classic video game tribute figures continues with City Hunter from Predator 2 ! The top-down game was released in 1992 for the super popular 16-bit home console.#CityHunter stands 8″ tall, with over 25 points of articulation for great poses, plus staff, disc, skull and spine accessories. Special paint deco reproduces the stylized 16-bit look of the character from the end title screen. Comes in special window box packaging to re-create the look and feel of the classic video game cartridge box.

 Predator to Take Flight

As if the massive number of figures already released in their ongoing ‘Predator’ line aren’t enough, NECA is taking things to a whole new level with the upcoming release of the Predator Blade Fighter vehicle! This thing is going to be HUGE, spanning around 2 feet in length to fit your favorite 8″ scale Predator figures! This vehicle has been modeled as an homage to the original Blade Fighter vehicle in the 90’s ‘Predator’ toyline from Kenner. The full release from NECA is below-

With over 60 figures in the line so far, it’s about time our Predators got a sweet ride! Coming in January, the spectacular Blade Fighter vehicle is a massively fun addition to your collection, and loaded with enough weaponry to satisfy even the most aggressive Predators. Take a sneak peek at the final model and packaging!

This massive vehicle is an homage to a classic Kenner vehicle from the 1993 Predator toy line. When fully assembled, the Blade Fighter is over 2 feet in length and accommodates most 6″- 8″ tall action figures! (Figures sold separately.) This is a must-have for Predator fans and will come in gorgeous closed box packaging featuring original art and illustrations like the classic toy lines of yesteryear.

 NECA’s Otachi Breaching

Another of NECA’s super successful ongoing toylines, based on Guillermo Del Toro’s hit film ‘Pacific Rim’, also has some new figures coming our way! For the smaller scaled 7″ line, NECA has released new info and images of the upcoming Otachi Kaiju figure! Spanning 18″ in length from snout to tail, and comes packaged with a bonus Baby Otachi figure! The full release from NECA is below-

We love Pacific Rim; it’s true. One of the most giddying moments at SDCC 2014 was when Guillermo del Toro swung by the NECA booth to check out our newly revealed Otachi prototype. And it was awesome to save a little surprise until last month, when we revealed in the downloadable Pacific Rim Visual Guide that the figure comes with a terribly cute Baby Otachi figure.

Our newest boxed, ultra-deluxe kaiju action figure is the hotly anticipated, fan-demanded Otachi. One of the most deadly Category IV kaiju, Otachi is capable of flight, and can spit an acid corrosive enough to melt everything from office buildings to the armor of a Jaeger!

This massive, extra-detailed figure measures nearly 18″ long and almost 7″ tall, and is to scale with our Jaeger action figures. It features over 30 points of articulation, including a fully articulated tail, plus an interchangeable tongue that can be removed to equip a sculpted “acid spitting” effect, and a bonus “Baby Otachi” figure.

 Massive Jaeger Inbound!

As if Otachi wasn’t enough, NECA also released images of their recently announced 18″ scale Striker Eureka Jaeger figure! This is their biggest Pacific Rim Jaeger figure to date, so he is going to be MASSIVE! He’s even got built in LED lights to replicate the Jaegers’ look from the film! The full release from NECA’s Facebook Page is below-

Introducing the Pacific Rim Striker Eureka AUS 18″ Scale Action Figure with LED Lights! Australia’s Striker Eureka is our biggest and heaviest 18” Scale Jaeger figure yet, and features blue and red LED lights in the head and chest. Made with exacting detail from the actual digital files utilized by Industrial Light & Magic in the creation of the film, with plenty of articulation for heroic poses. Batteries included.

Mezco Is The Law (Part 2)

We mentioned some teasers for this guy last week, but now a ton of new information has been announced regarding Mezco’s upcoming 1:12th scale Judge Dredd figure! Check out the info from Mezco below-
