Voice actor Bill Farmer, best known for his role as Goofy in Disney media, has stated on Twitter that the highly anticipated Square Enix Action RPG ‘Kingdom Hearts III’ is scheduled to come out this year.

In response to a fan question asking whether or not Farmer had started recording lines as Goofy for ‘Kingdom Heart III’, the voice actor seemed to respond with absolute certainty about the game’s release in the Tweet below.

However, Farmer has gone on to further state in another response that he instead thinks the game will be coming out this year, and that he could be inaccurate in assumption and that Square Enix could change the release date.

Regardless of whether or not Farmer may have slipped out information on the official release of ‘Kingdom Hearts III’, only time will tell if the game is really heading to store shelves this year. As of writing, Square Enix has not yet issued a comment clarifying the situation and Farmer’s tweets have since been deleted.

Announced back at E3 2013, ‘Kingdom Hearts III‘ is the much anticipated sequel in the long running Square Enix and Disney crossover action-RPG series. Outside of the series’ many spin-off titles, ‘Kingdom Hearts III’ is the first major ‘Kingdom Hearts’ entry since its predecessor ‘Kingdom Hearts II,’ which released on the PS2 back in December 22, 2005.

The series focuses on the adventures of Sora, a boy who can wield a powerful magical weapon known as the keyblade. With the help of classic Disney characters Donald Duck and Goofy, Sora embarks on an adventure to find his friends while interacting and helping out the many characters of the Disney universe as well as the ‘Final Fantasy’ universe.

‘Kingdom Hearts III’ does not have an official release date but is expected to launch sometime on PS4 and Xbox One.
