Recently, we were treated to some brand new promo images from ‘Ant-Man’ courtesy of a sleepwear company that gave us our first real look at the film’s villain, Yellowjacket. Now, on top of a high quality still from the upcoming Phase Two film, True Believers can check out a bunch of promotional pictures from ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ that show off some of the new things that we can see in Joss Whedon’s next adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
First, Disney has released a new image from the sequel of ‘The Avengers’. The scene may look familiar as we’ve previously seen it in the first trailer for the film. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are enjoying a nice night off, but the mechanical maniac Ultron crashes the party, so Natasha Romanoff, Bruce Banner, Clint Barton, Tony Stark, Thor Odinson, a mystery woman (that may or may not be Kim Soo Hyun), Colonel James Rhodes, Steve Rogers, and Maria Hill stand at the ready to face the impending threat. You can see it below followed by the official synopsis of the film:
When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
Then, a Reddit user uploaded a pair of bios for Ultron and the Vision that reveal a few interesting details about their origins. First, Vision was created by both Stark and Banner. (Science Bros for life!) Second, Ultron was originally a computer program left behind by the Chitauri invasion. Two pretty big revelations, no? Here are the full bios:
That same Reddit user also included some artwork of Vision phasing through a wall and Black Widow sporting a new uniform and some Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird-esque batons as seen on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’:
Finally, a gallery’s worth of pictures giving us close up looks at the villainous Ultron, Tony Stark’s Hulkbuster armor, and more:
Well, that’s certainly a lot to process for the moment, but we’ll do our best to get through it. What do you think about the latest still from ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’? Do these new origin details about Ultron and the Vision intrigue you? Is there a particular aspect of the promo pics that you want to know more about? Let us know in the comment section.
