A couple months back we heard a rumor that TNT has a live action ‘Teen Titans‘ series in the works and now we’ve got some more details on what we can expect from the show as it comes together. Entertainingly enough, we didn’t find the latest news from an interview or article being run on the series but DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns actually broke the news on Twitter by responding very candidly to a couple of open questions that he received.

First he is asked about the show and responds when filming will get underway!

Well, of the pilot at least. Still if the pilots of other DC shows are any indication (like ‘The Flash‘ and ‘Gotham‘) the pilot will quickly lead into the actual series being filmed!

Next up, Johns responds on bringing a certain characters to the small screen, well at least one he is excited about.

What is interesting and possibly telling about Nightwing being in the series is that many of the locations that are planned to be introduced in the upcoming ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ aren’t really allowed on the television networks. While this isn’t fully the case for the characters as we’ll be seeing ‘The Flash’ as a feature film released in 2018, I wonder if that means the rumor of Nightwing in the film are just that. Personally I think DC will allow for both to happen, but this is the kind of thing that may come up when they are keeping their cinematic and televised universes separate.

What are your thoughts on Nightwing getting the live-action treatment and ‘Teen Titans’ moving forward? Are you excited for the series? Who would you like to see in the role?
