Apparently Al Pacino has seen ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ and he approves. In a recent story hyping the release of the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ on Blu-Ray, it seems Al Pacino was forced to go see the epic space adventure in theaters thanks to convincing by his children, and it turns out he loved it. Sources say he goes on to say he appreciate the big screen ‘inventiveness’ and the almost ‘Shakespearean feeling’ it evoked from the actor. All of which contributes to the opinion of ‘Guardians’ not only being one of the best of the Marvel Studios films, but also good enough to shake some A-listers out of their anti-superhero movie gloom and convince them to jump on board the Marvel train.

Case in point, since Pacino’s comments, after he had been asked a question about whether he would ever be willing to be a part of a big Marvel film, the star replied:

“I would do anything that I could understand in terms of how I fit in it… And you know, of course if I could fit in it. Anything’s possible.”

Since then, Pacino has revealed that someone at Marvel must have been paying attention, as he actually had a meeting with the Marvel Studios president of production Kevin Feige, quipping that “…it’s a Marvel how things happen.”

What role could the former ‘Scarface’ conquer? Fortunately, Marvel has a huge back-log of characters yet to make their entrance into the cinematic universe, and Pacino could have his choice of what he wanted to do, and choose whether he wants to play a hero, or a villain. Personally I would love to see the man tackle a meaty anti-hero, or a straight out villain, as his presence alone would make him more than a worthy adversary for any of our heroes. Due to his love of the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ films he would most likely like to join that franchise, perhaps even play the much-questioned father to Peter Quill that promises to be a major role in the sequels.

At this point, who knows? But its still very exciting to think about.
