Ever since he appeared in Joel and Ethan Coen’s 2013 film ‘Inside Llewyn Davis,’ Oscar Isaac has been praised as a breakout star. Later, the actor/singer was surrounded by buzz once again when he was included in the massive casting announcement and the first teaser trailer for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. However, his trip to a galaxy far, far away won’t stop him from joining another beloved sci-fi/fantasy franchise. Two weeks ago, Isaac was revealed as the titular villain in Bryan Singer’s ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’. Now, after being in a whirlwind of awesomeness this year, he recently shared his thoughts on playing the iconic Marvel Comics character.
In an interview with MTV, Isaac expressed his extreme delight that he would be getting to play Apocalypse in the sequel to ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’. He nerded out a bit as well when he said that he has been a fan for quite some time and touched on the arc infamous arc that saw Angel transform into one of the Four Horsemen. However, he did say that he has no idea how the character will look when he makes the jump to the big screen, so it seems the process is just at it’s infant stages for now. It’s always great to see that stars of superhero movies are fans. That way, they have reverence for the source material and work that much harder to please the pre-existing fans.
