Are we already so bored with ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ that all we can talk about is what’s coming next?!  First, after weeks of rumors and speculation, Warner Brothers confirmed their lineup for ‘The Suicide Squad’ movie.  Then ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ director Michelle MacLaren was announced as the director of ‘Wonder Woman’ starring Gal Gadot who will debut in the title role in ‘Dawn of Justice.’  The film won’t be out until 2017, but it looks like things are chugging right along.

The latest buzz is that Jason Fuchs, writer of the upcoming ‘Pan‘ is in negotiations to pen the script, working closely with MacLaren to develop the drafts.  Fuchs also previously wrote the screenplay for the animated movie ‘Ice Age: Continental Drift’ and won two awards for his short film ‘Pitch.’

Though ‘Pan’ doesn’t arrive until next year, it boasts an all-star cast headlined by Hugh Jackman, as well as Garrett Hedlund, Rooney Mara, Amanda Seyfried and Cara Delevigne.  Hopefully, that implies that the film’s script was pretty good!

Coincidentally, ‘Pan’ also arrives via Warner Brothers, with hopes that the re-imagining of ‘Peter Pan’ becomes a new franchise.  I’d say they’re pretty confident as Fuchs is already working on a sequel script.

The whimsical nature of ‘Pan’, paired with a director of the fantasy ‘Game of Thrones’ bodes well for ‘Wonder Woman’ about an Amazon warrior from an island of female combatants given life by the ancient Gods of Olympus.  Add to that, ‘Breaking Bad’ is one of the most praised dramas on television in years, things appear to be shaping up for DC’s First Lady’s movie debut.

I know it’s still very early in the game, but how do things sound for ‘Wonder Woman’?  Are you hopeful or tentative?  What do you think a ‘Wonder Woman’ movie should be about?
