Rocksteady Studios has released a brand new gameplay video for their upcoming open-world action game ‘Batman: Arkham Knight.’

The newest three-and-a-half-minute gameplay video shows off a dramatic edited walkthrough of Batman doing a one-man “infiltration” of the Ace Chemicals plant, which has been taken over by a militia of criminals and mercenaries. It features footage of some brand new multi-stealth takedowns, environmental combat takedowns, cape gliding as well as bat mobile vehicular combat.

The video  is actually the first of three gameplay videos showing off Batman’s visit to the Ace Chemicals plant. The second is scheduled to go live December 1 at 9.a. PT, while the third will be shown exclusively during Sony’s keynote presentation during the upcoming PlayStation Experience event on the weekend of December 6-7.

Set one year after the events of 2011’s ‘Batman: Arkham City,’ ‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ follows the exploits of Batman as he takes on Scarecrow, who has returned to Gotham City to unite all of the city’s criminals under a deadly plot to finally kill the caped crusader on Halloween night. On top of appearances from the typical faces from Batman’s rogues gallery like Two Face and Penguin, the game will also feature a brand new villain named Arkham Knight, a character created by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee.

‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ is being described as the concluding chapter in the “Arkham series,” which had all started with 2009’s ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum.” In contrast to last year’s ‘Batman Arkham Origins,’ this upcoming entry will be developed by Rocksteady Studios, the original team who created the first two games in the series.

With Rocksteady returning on development duties, it is also worth noting that famous voice actor Kevin Conroy (‘Batman: The Animated Series’) will also be coming back again to do the voice of Batman after his absence from ‘Batman: Arkham Origins.’ Unfortunately, frequent “Arkham series writer” and ‘Batman: The Animated Series’ writer Paul Dini will not be returning to contribute to the game’s story this time around.

‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ will release on June 2, 2015 for PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
