Ubisoft’s ‘Assassin’s Creed Unity’ just got itself a new Hollywood-esque action filled story trailer filled with revolution, conspiracy and plights for redemption.

The new trailer for the upcoming ‘Assassin’s Creed’ title finally fleshes out more of the backstory of its main character, Arno Dorian, as he brings himself up into the Brotherhood of Assassins after the death of his father, also an Assassin, at a young age. The trailer also shows off how Arno figures himself into the plot of the French Revolution as well as his own personal struggles amidst a sea of violence and corruption.

Much like previous games, ‘Assassin’s Creed Unity’ will feature historical figures in its story like the infamous Napoleon Bonaparte and famous French revolutionary politician and libertine, Marquis De Sade. The former now finally seems to be historically accurate in his height for once from his appearance in the trailer.

Being the seventh entry in the long running open-world action game franchise, ‘Assassin’s Creed Unity’ will be the first to feature co-operative play that supports up to 4-players playing simultaneously during specific campaign missions and side-missions. It will also be the first to allow players to customize their character with its adoption of a skill tree that allows players to assign points to improve skills in combat, stealth, navigation and health. Armor, weapons and equipment will be fully customizable to compliment style of play as well.

‘Assassin’s Creed Unity’ is going to be one of the two ‘Assassin’s Creed’ games arriving this November, with the upcoming last-generation ‘Assassin’s Creed Rogue’ being the second. Typically a series that releases one new entry annually, this year marks first time in the franchise’s history that Ubisoft has set to release two new games in the series in a single year.

‘Assassin’s Creed Unity’ will release on November 11 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
