It looks as if ‘The Walking Dead‘ has just infected a new cast member as Tyler James Williams (‘Everybody Hates Chris’, ‘Peeples’) will be making his debut on the show in the upcoming season.

With the fifth season premiering next month, you would almost be surprised to hear that they are still casting at this point, chances are that it will be split as the previous seasons have. At this point there isn’t any real details about who exactly Williams will be playing on the show aside from the fact that his character will be named Noah. It is also unclear as to which episodes that he will be introduced in, how long he will be on for, and if he will be a guest character or a series regular.

This won’t be the first Noah on the series as there had been a character with the same name in the Governor’s camp who died, although there was never a Noah character in the comics themselves. At this time, it is hard to say if he will be a completely new character or based on one that has already been introduced on page. I haven’t seen much of Williams’ previous work but from what I have seen, it has been for comedy so this role should really let his acting chops fly being put into the middle of a world now crawling with Walkers.

In the upcoming season we will see Williams joining the cast with Seth Gilliam (‘Starship Troopers’, ‘The Wire’) who will portray Father Gabriel in the upcoming season.

What do you think of Williams joining the cast? Do you think he will end up being a friend or foe to Rick and his traveling companions? Will he be a part of Terminus or something else entirely? Share your thoughts below!
