Activision and Sledgehammer Games has released a ‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ trailer announcing a brand new multiplayer called Exo-Survival Co-op mode.

Exo-Survival is a cooperative mode in the upcoming first person shooter that supports up to four players. In it, players must work together to fend off waves of the game’s different enemies, including soldiers, drones and even mechs. In typical fashion, the waves will become considerably more difficult the longer players survive. The co-op mode is a brand new addition alongside the game’s other two modes, single-player and competitive multiplayer.

Other than the Exo-Survival mode announcement, the trailer also shows off more gameplay of the ‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s’ action packed single-player campaign as well as snippets of the game’s storyline, complete with heated lines delivered by famed actor, Kevin Spacey.

Taking place in the year 2054, the world is a very different place after a terrorist organization known as KVA initiates the first global terrorist attack in history by destroying numerous nuclear reactors in countries across the globe, including the United States. With countries rendered incapable of fighting due to a collapse in military and government infrastructure, private military companies (PMCs) become the dominant armed forces for nations against the threat of KVA. ‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ puts players in the shoes of Jack Mitchell, a former U.S Marine who joins Atlus Corporation, the world’s most powerful private military company. Dissatisfied with the ineffectiveness of the United States as a promoter of world democracy, Jonathan Irons (Spacey), CEO of the Atlus Corporation, decides to use his power to take matters into his own hands.

‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ is the eleventh entry in the ‘Call of Duty’ franchise. It marks the first title to be developed completely by studio Sledgehammer Games. The studio itself is primarily known for their previous experience with the franchise when they helped veteran studio, Infinity Ward, co-develop ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.’

‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ will release for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on November 4.
