If you haven’t seen ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘ by now I apologize but the cut scene this image is from does contain somewhat of a spoiler. Also, if you haven’t seen ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ yet why aren’t you out doing that right now?!

At any rate, prior to Drax the Destroyer deciding that maybe calling Ronan the Accuser over to play was a good idea, he had a run in with this Pit Boss pictured below who was played by Marama Corlett (‘Maleficent’, ‘Sinbad’). Yes, she was in the film briefly but as you can read below she had a slightly larger role that ended up being just a small bit cameo on screen. Also, that cameo would have had Drax petting her much as he appears to be doing so here.

How adorable!

Now as James Gunn so happily shared, we may see her again as this was a character that never ended up dying. Hopefully we will with the fact that she had to learn an alien language for her part as you can read below! Also, Drax petting another person just sounds fantastic doesn’t it?

“#gotgpicoftheday One of the tough things about making a film is sometimes you have to cut performances from the film, not because there was anything wrong with the performance, but for time or plotting reasons. Such was the case with @maramacorlett, who played the pit boss running the Orloni-F’saki table in the Boot of Jemiah. She was amazing, learning all of her lines in a foreign language we created. Although you can still see her in the film her part was drastically cut down because of pacing. However her character didn’t die, so who knows where the pit boss could show up again! Here @realbautista rubs her head like he did in the cut scene from the movie, irritating her while drunk. #gotg #guardiansofthegalaxy”

If it is being brought up, my money is that it’ll be on an extended cut or in the deleted scenes for the Blu-ray release. As ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ was my favorite film of the year, having a chance to see even more of it makes me giddy.

Are you looking forward to the Blu-ray release of  ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’? Do you hope that this scene is one of the deleted scenes from the film?
