Daniel Radcliffe is no stranger to having strange marks on his forehead thanks to his stint as the boy wizard Harry Potter, but his latest film takes it to a whole new level. Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King’s son, Joe Hill, the British actor dons an American accent for ‘Horns’, the latest film from ‘The Hills Have Eyes’ and ‘Piranha’ director Alexandre Aja that blends horror, humor, and romance. At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, the studio unveiled a new trailer with a ton of new footage from the movie, but now a new international trailer from the UK offers us even more.
When the first teaser for this film dropped, it definitely played up more of the darker nature of the story. However, when the Comic-Con trailer premiered, we got to see more or a focus on the balance between the three genres present in this movie. With the latest trailer, there’s more of a combination of the to approaches, but with a slight lean towards something sinister due to a little surprise at the end. You can see what I’m talking about in the video below from Yahoo, followed by the movie’s official synopsis:
‘Horns’, a supernatural thriller driven by fantasy, mystery and romance, follows Ignatius Perrish, the number one suspect for the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend, Merrin. Hungover from a night of hard drinking, Ig awakens one morning to find horns starting to grow from his own head and soon realizes their power drives people to confess their sins and give in to their most selfish and unspeakable impulses – an effective tool in his quest to discover the true circumstances of his late girlfriend’s tragedy and for exacting revenge on her killer.
