‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ is getting amazing buzz and could prove to be one of the best movies of the summer and that’s saying quite a lot considering all the fantastic movies that have already hit the silver screen. But it never hurts to promote and Fox is doing just that.
Just released are three promotional videos. One is a featurette that explores ape leader Caesar, flashing back to the first movie and the terrible things he had to endure to become what he is in the new movie, the alpha male leader of an ape army. The clip is quite poignant and helps reinforce that it’s not really the humans we should be rooting for.

Next is a short clip from the movie in which the human cast are surrounded by Caesar’s massive, and heavily armed forces. Caesar issues a warning that “Apes do not want war.” (But I think all know they’re getting one anyway.)

Finally, just as a bonus, check out some behind-the-scenes, rough footage of the actors filming the movie. It’s interesting just to see the actors playing the apes in motion capture suits.
